The ASU/Creighton University 3+4 Doctor of Pharmacy Program (PharmD) is an accelerated pathway for SMS students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry who plan to continue into Creighton's Doctor of Pharmacy program. Students complete most of their bachelor's degree requirements in three years at ASU, then finish the remaining requirements during their first year of the PharmD program at Creighton — receiving priority admission consideration in the process.
Things to know
- Most bachelor's degree requirements are completed at ASU in an accelerated three-year format. Remaining bachelor's requirements are finished during the first year of the Creighton PharmD program.
- The program may require summer coursework to meet degree and admissions requirements.
- To receive priority consideration for admission, students must be a declared Biochemistry BS major and meet Creighton's School of Pharmacy admissions requirements.
- Students should maintain a cumulative 3.00 GPA or higher to be considered strong candidates for the program.
- Students work with both SMS Academic Advisors and Creighton Admissions Representatives throughout the program to ensure successful progress.
- If a student decides not to continue with this program, their graduation plan can be modified to meet the requirements of Creighton's traditional or distance PharmD program, or to graduate in the standard four years from ASU.
