The School of Molecular Sciences welcomes the proud alumni of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at ASU, and invites them to join us as we take the next step in the evolution of the molecular sciences.
The School acknowledges the students and faculty who worked so hard to build the reputation of chemistry and biochemistry at ASU. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry established a national reputation for excellence in interdisciplinary research that the School will build on to develop a new scientific discipline, and further enhance ASU's reputation for Innovation.
Capria Rinaldi, an SMS Medicinal Biochemistry major, has received the School of Molecular Sciences 2017 Distinguished Biochemistry Merit Award and is featured in a series of profiles for Spring 2017 Commencement.
Meet Guadalupe Batista, a Medicinal Chemistry major in the School of Molecular Sciences! He is our 2017 Wayne W. Luchsinger Scholar. Guadalupe aspires to become a pediatrician and wants to use his skills to volunteer abroad with programs like Doctors without Borders. The support of the Wayne W. Luchsinger Scholar will allow Guadalupe to continue his schooling without breaks due to financial need. We are proud to have such an ambitious, hard-working, first-generation college student with us at SMS.
