Wayne W. Luchsinger Chemistry Scholarship

Emeritus Professor Wayne W. Luchsinger established this scholarship to support an undergraduate student majoring in chemistry or biochemistry in the School of Molecular Sciences. The GI Bill provided Dr. Luchsinger with support to go to college, and preference for this scholarship will be given to veterans of one of the U.S. military services.

Amount: $4,500

Ted Brown Memorial Scholarship

The Ted Brown Memorial Chemistry Scholarship was established in honor of Emeritus Professor Ted Brown. During his 36 years at ASU, Ted Brown undertook research in transition metal chemistry, with particular focus on the early metals from Groups IV, V and VI. He was a visiting Professor at Imperial College, London in 1973 and at Purdue University in 1981. In addition to teaching both general chemistry and inorganic chemistry, he was also the Associate Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry from 1987 - 1997.

The Ted Brown Memorial Chemistry Scholarship is awarded annually to a first generation undergraduate student with documented financial need as defined by ASU Financial Aid and Scholarship Services. Preference will be given Native American students who have an affiliation with a federally-recognized or state-recognized tribe.

The School of Molecular Sciences First Generation Scholarships support outstanding, first generation undergraduate students completing degrees in chemistry or biochemistry in the School of Molecular Sciences.

The School of Molecular Sciences Veterans Scholarships support outstanding military veteran or children of military veterans pursuing undergraduate degrees in chemistry or biochemistry in the School of Molecular Sciences.

Amount: $1,000.
